Remote Full Time Business Consulting and Services

Company Overview:

Business Integration Partners (BIP) is a global consulting firm operating at the intersection of business and technology, delivering sustainable solutions at pace and scale. BIP serves clients across Financial Services and other industries, with capabilities spanning Data & AI, Change Management, Risk & Compliance, and Digital Transformation.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Project Manager / Business Analyst to independently lead multiple cross-functional initiatives within a financial services client’s Enterprise Data Organization. The role supports Product Master and broader strategic reference-data initiatives, connecting business objectives, requirements, delivery work items, system dependencies, and outcomes.

This is a delivery led hybrid PM/BA role - not a dedicated data modeler, architect, or project administrator. The successful candidate will understand what is being built and why, challenge ambiguity, anticipate delivery impacts, and drive decisions and execution with limited direction. Deep technical expertise is not required, but sufficient functional and data-domain fluency to work credibly with business and engineering teams is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own day-to-day delivery of multiple concurrent enterprise and reference-data workstreams, from scope clarification and planning through implementation and handoff.
  • Understand and articulate each initiative’s business purpose, intended deliverables, success criteria, and how Jira epics, stories, and tasks contribute to project completion.
  • Build integrated plans; identify cross-team and upstream/downstream dependencies, critical sequencing, milestone impacts, and ownership gaps.
  • Proactively identify and escalate delivery risks, blockers, scope changes, and new requirements; explain implications for timing, priorities, and downstream consumers and recommend next steps.
  • Lead stakeholder discussions, ask probing questions, challenge assumptions constructively, and drive timely decisions and accountability.
  • Elicit, analyze, document, and prioritize functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business process/data-flow needs.
  • Run effective Agile/Scrum routines including sprint planning, standups, backlog refinement/grooming, reviews, and follow-through on commitments.
  • Manage Jira backlogs and delivery reporting; maintain practical RAID logs, action/decision trackers, milestones, and concise status communications focused on outcomes and exceptions.
  • Partner with data engineering, architecture, product, operations, and business teams on Product Master and reference-data initiatives involving products, funds, legal entities, portfolios, accounts, brokers, and related investment structures.
  • Coordinate source-of-truth decisions, data-quality and integration issues, upstream/downstream impacts, testing, validation, and business readiness with accountable technical and domain specialists.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 8+ years of demonstrated independent ownership of complex, cross-functional projects or workstreams in a PM/BA or closely related delivery role.
  • Strong business analysis skills: functional discovery, probing questions, requirements clarification, user stories, acceptance criteria, and translating ambiguity into actionable decisions.
  • Proven ability to map work items to business outcomes, identify dependencies and sequencing, and anticipate the impact of changes on timelines and delivery.
  • Hands-on Jira proficiency, backlog ownership, and experience facilitating Agile/Scrum delivery ceremonies.
  • Confident stakeholder management across business, data, engineering, and operations teams; ability to challenge constructively and communicate risks with recommendations.
  • Experience supporting enterprise data, reference data, master data, or related cross-system initiatives, preferably in financial services.
  • Ability to understand and explain data flows, source systems, downstream consumers, and functional integration impacts without being the technical architect.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, written communication, follow-through, and accountability across multiple concurrent initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Asset management, investment operations, fund administration, or investment/reference-data domain exposure.
  • Familiarity with Product Master domains such as products, funds, portfolios, legal entities, brokers, accounts, and investment structures.
  • Working knowledge of data governance, authoritative sources, lineage, data quality, and reconciliation processes.
  • Practical Excel and SQL skills for investigating or validating data issues; Snowflake or cloud data warehouse exposure.
  • Experience working with data engineers and architects on integrations, data mappings, and enterprise data platforms.
  • Familiarity with Confluence and appropriate AI-enabled productivity tools.

Compensation:

**The base salary range for this role is $110,000 - $160,000**

Benefits:

  • Voluntary benefits.
  • Short- and long-term disability.
