Project ManagerThe Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of complex construction projects. In addition, responsible for providing technical engineering and information to ensure construction work complies with all engineering standards to support project.Responsibilities include:Understanding and familiarity with NYC Heavy Civil type projects IE: Utility work, Waste/Stormwater sewer & Watermain workEstablish and maintain working relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, inspectors, etc., providing customer service to develop long-term partnerships with client baseAble to comprehend and administer company's corporate safety program which provides for a safe work environment for all self-performed and subcontracted operations. Provide observations, attend safety mtgs and compliance to each field operation.
Comply, understand, and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environmentAbility to perform accurate project revenue and cost financial forecasting to ensure corporate profitability goals are met. Coordinate with estimators and project controls group to establish budget. Lead estimating efforts on vertically integrated projects to ensure accurate and consistent bid to build processCoordinate with project team to develop comprehensive plan for project start up and successful kick-offEnsure proper job controls, i.e., quantities, costs, revenue, and schedule are maintainedGenerate and/or adapt to company quality requirements and culture; that recognizes the effect of quality on all operationsAbility to support field superintendent & field foreman/labor crews to ensure productivity, efficient use of materials & equipment, and contractual performance of the project are met, for all self-performed and subcontracted operations.
Oversee and manage assigned subcontractorsAbility to manage document control items, procurement, assist to process subcontract and material progress estimates, engineering preplanning.
