Project ManagerThe Project Manager plays a key leadership role in the successful delivery of construction projects from initial planning through completion. Reporting to the Vice President of Construction, this individual will oversee the planning, coordination, budgeting, and execution of assigned projects while ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.Projects typically include ground-up commercial, industrial, and institutional construction across the New England region. The successful candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal project teams.This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-quality projects while working with one of the region's most established and trusted construction firms.Key ResponsibilitiesReview project plans to determine timelines, funding limitations, procedures, staffing requirements, and allocation of resources across project phasesNegotiate and procure project materials, subcontractor services, and vendor agreementsInitiate and manage subcontract documentation and purchase orders in a timely mannerManage owner change requests and project change ordersDevelop work plans and coordinate staffing for each phase of construction in collaboration with subcontractors and internal teamsAssign responsibilities and establish clear expectations for project personnelDirect and coordinate activities of project staff to ensure projects progress according to schedule and budgetPrepare project status reports for internal leadership and clientsProvide technical guidance and resolve challenges that arise during project executionCoordinate project activities with regulatory agencies and other governmental bodiesBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and industry partnersQualifications10+ years of progressive construction project management experienceBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experienceExperience managing ground-up commercial, industrial, or institutional construction projectsDemonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and multiple project components simultaneouslyKnowledge of construction job cost accounting and financial managementStrong communication and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, leadership, and project teamsAbility to interpret financial reports, legal documents, and construction documentationProfessional CompetenciesSuccessful candidates often demonstrate strengths in the following areas:Problem Solving: Ability to identify issues, analyze information, and develop effective solutionsCommunication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to keep stakeholders informedCustomer Focus: Commitment to delivering excellent service and maintaining strong client relationshipsLeadership: Ability to guide project teams, support collaboration, and encourage professional growthAchievement Orientation: Motivation to meet goals, overcome challenges, and deliver high-quality resultsPlanning & Organization: Strong time management and resource planning skills with the ability to execute complex project plansPhysical RequirementsThe position may require standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, balancing, kneeling, and crawling as part of construction site activities.
