Project ManagerBaltimore City Community College (BCCC) is seeking an innovative and highly skilled Project Manager to assist with managing the Ellucian Banner ERP Advisory Services strategic reimplementation initiatives with a primary focus on enterprise systems such as Ellucian Banner. This critical role demands a results-oriented professional with interpersonal communications skills, a strong focus on cross-functional environment collaboration, a passion for driving implementation, and a deep understanding of change-management principles.Project Planning:Define project scope and objectives in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders, ensuring technical feasibilityDevelop a comprehensive project plan with clear milestones, timelines, and deliverables, incorporating Gantt charts to visualize progress and dependenciesEnsure reporting methods meet the requirements of BCCC leadership and conduct process analysis on selected workflows, identify inefficiencies, and make actionable recommendations for future process improvementsTeam Leadership:Lead and manage end-to-end project lifecycles for technology initiatives, with a primary focus on Ellucian Banner implementations and enhancementsEnsure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with institutional objectives. Drive adoption strategies to minimize disruption and facilitate smooth transitions during system changesProcess Analysis:Measure project performance using appropriate tools, techniques, and metrics to ensure progress aligns with established plans and objectives, providing timely reporting and actionable insights to support decision-making and continuous improvementCross-Functional Coordination:Collaborate effectively across diverse departments—including Academic Affairs, Student Services, Finance, and Information Technology—to ensure alignment of technology initiatives with institutional priorities.Facilitate clear communication between technical and functional teams, translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions, and resolve interdepartmental challenges proactively.Build strong partnerships to streamline workflows, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver projects that meet both academic and administrative objectivesRisk & Issue Management:Proactively identify potential project risks and issues during all phases of the project lifecycleConduct thorough risk assessments to evaluate impact and likelihood and develop robust mitigation and contingency plans to minimize disruptionsCollaborate with stakeholders to implement corrective actions, monitor resolution progress, and ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and budgetStakeholder Communication & Reporting:Facilitate consistent and effective engagement with stakeholders throughout all project phases, ensuring transparency and alignment with institutional objectivesProvide timely updates, detailed reports, and executive briefings to senior leadership, including the Chief Information Officer and other decision-makersDeliver clear, actionable insights to support informed decision-making and maintain stakeholder confidence in project progress and outcomesExpected Outcomes:Successful deployment and optimization of Ellucian Banner and related enterprise systemsImproved operational efficiency through streamlined processes and integrated technology solutionsEnhanced student experience via reliable, user-friendly systems supporting academic and administrative functionsStrong stakeholder confidence in IT project delivery through transparent communication and measurable resultsIncreased institutional capacity for innovation and adaptability in a rapidly evolving higher education landscapeRequired Qualifications:Education:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related fieldExperience:Minimum of five (5) years of progressive project management experience, preferably within a higher education environmentTechnical Expertise: Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Project, Ellucian Banner ER, or related enterprise applicationsCertifications:PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification preferred; proficiency in PMP-aligned tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, Work Breakdown Structures, Risk Registers, Gantt Charts)Preferred Qualifications:Seven or more (7+) years of project management experienceExperience in higher education technology environmentsKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Knowledge of institutional policies, state standards (e.g., Maryland DoIT), and federal requirements (FERPA, accessibility)Ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and drive successful outcomesSkilled in understanding change management principles and project governance frameworksAbility to communicate both in writing and orally, with strong organizational and analytical capabilities
