Project Manager Austin, TX 12 Months Locals PreferredThe Project Manager is an Information Technology (IT) position and will provide project management skills for Campus Consolidation related projects. This role will primarily interface with the Business Units within TxDOT and the vendor(s) performing work to support any of the thirteen use cases related to the Campus Consolidation effort. The Project Manager will be responsible for maintaining the timeline for this project.

Further, this individual will work to identify project risks and resolve them before they become issues. The workers responsibilities and skills must include:Experience with general IT SDLC processes.Ability to create and maintain several project artifacts including Project Timeline, Risk & Issue Log, Communication Plan, Stakeholder Register, etc.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Being a creative thinker to solve issues.Mediating business units that may have conflicting requirements.Facilitating and documenting AS-IS and TO-BE process flows.Other duties as assignedII. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Requirements: Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills/experience) will not be considered for this opportunity and the resume will not be submitted to the customer.Years - Required/Preferred - Experience8 - Required - Experience with general IT SDLC processes.8 - Required - Experience in creating and maintaining various project artifacts including; Project Timeline, Risk & Issue Log, Communication Plan, Stakeholder Register, etc.6 - Required - Skilled in gathering requirements from business divisions.6 - Required - Skilled in documenting AS-IS and TO-BE process flows.6 - Required - Skilled in business process creation.6 - Required - Skilled in educating business unit staff on standardized processes.6 - Required - Possess strong verbal and written skills in communicating with peers and different levels of users including executive staff.6 - Required - Skilled in facilitating large group meetings with internal and external resources.6 - Required - Skilled in collaborating with the technical and functional teams to develop the Technical Specification and other documents need in support of the solution.3 - Preferred - Experience with one or more of the state of Texas government agencies.3 - Preferred - Experience in managing Enterprise Infrastructure Projects.
