Project ManagerJoin our partner firm, KFM Engineering & Design, as a Project Manager, leading the successful delivery of land development and infrastructure projects throughout Texas. In this role, you will oversee projects from initial planning through design, permitting, and construction while serving as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.The Project Manager is responsible for managing project scope, schedule, budget, and quality while leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional results. This commitment is the foundation of our contributions to projects that are sustainable, community-driven, and highly successful for investors.With a legacy of excellence and a future-focused approach, KFM Engineering & Design continues to shape the landscape of Texas and beyond—one project at a time.Essential ResponsibilitiesManage multiple civil engineering and land development projects simultaneously from concept through constructionServe as the primary point of contact for clients, municipalities, utility providers, and regulatory agenciesDevelop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and staffing plans to ensure successful project executionLead project teams consisting of engineers, designers, surveyors, and subconsultantsOversee the preparation and review of engineering plans, technical reports, specifications, and permit applicationsMonitor project financial performance, including budgets, invoicing, profitability, and resource allocationIdentify project risks and proactively develop solutions to maintain project objectivesEnsure projects comply with applicable regulations, design standards, and client requirementsConduct quality assurance and quality control reviews of project deliverablesCoordinate entitlement, permitting, and agency approval processesParticipate in project interviews, proposals, and business development activitiesBuild and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business opportunitiesMentor and develop Project Engineers, EITs, and technical staffSupport strategic growth initiatives and contribute to office and company objectivesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related fieldProfessional Engineer (PE) license required, preferably in Texas or ability to obtain Texas licensure through reciprocity7-12+ years of civil engineering experience with a focus on land development, infrastructure, or municipal projectsDemonstrated experience managing projects, budgets, schedules, and client relationshipsStrong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3DThorough understanding of site development, grading, drainage, utility design, and permitting processesExperience coordinating multidisciplinary project teamsStrong written, verbal, and presentation communication skillsProven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a consulting environmentMicrosoft 365 proficiencyPreferred SkillsExperience working with Texas municipalities, counties, utility districts, and regulatory agenciesKnowledge of hydrology and hydraulics, stormwater management, and drainage designExperience preparing project proposals, fee estimates, and contractsExisting client relationships within Texas land development marketsExperience supporting business development and market growth initiativesFamiliarity with GIS, drainage modeling software, and related engineering technologiesLeadership ExpectationsFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and technical excellenceMentor and develop emerging engineering professionalsPromote strong client service and responsivenessSupport recruiting, retention, and employee development effortsContribute to the continued growth and success of KFM Engineering & Design
