As a Project Manager, you will be leading the mechanical scope on a large-scale mission critical data center located in rural Texas. You will lead multidisciplinary teams responsible for executing the project safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong partnerships with owners, trade partners, and field leadership.Successful projects do not complete themselves.

We offer professional development opportunities, industry-leading benefits, and the chance to work on projects that will change the built environment forever.What you'll be doing:Lead all aspects of assigned mechanical construction scopes from planning through project closeoutDevelop and execute project strategies that prioritize safety, quality, schedule, productivity, and client satisfactionBuild and maintain strong working relationships with owners, general contractors, design teams, vendors, subcontractors, and internal project teamsManage project budgets, forecasts, change management, and cost reporting to ensure financial successOversee procurement of major mechanical equipment, fabricated systems, materials, and subcontracted work while mitigating supply chain risksLead project scheduling efforts in collaboration with field leadership to support project milestonesPartner with field leadership and the project team to develop work plans, staffing strategies, and execution plans for complex mechanical installationsReview project risks, identify potential issues early, and implement proactive solutions to minimize impacts to schedule and budgetEnsure RFIs, submittals, change orders, turnover documentation, commissioning activities, and closeout requirements are completed accurately and on timeProvide leadership, coaching, and professional development for project engineersPromote Harder's culture of safety and operational excellence throughout every phase of the projectRepresent Harder during owner meetings, coordination meetings, progress reviews, and executive-level project discussionsWhat you will need to be successful in this role:Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and process pipingProven ability to manage large, fast-paced construction projectsStrong financial management skills including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, productivity tracking, and change managementExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsExperience leading high-performing project teams in collaborative environmentsStrong understanding of construction scheduling, sequencing, procurement, and commissioning processesProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and construction management software such as Procore; experience with Primavera P6 is preferredCommitment to continuous improvement and Lean Construction principlesEducation/Experience:7+ years of project management experience, preferably with a focus on mechanical systemsBachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Business Management, Mechanical, Industrial, Civil Engineering and/or equivalent experience or educationBenefitsCompetitive salaryComprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits – 100% of employee premiums are paid by the companyGenerous retirement package includes: 10% retirement contribution made by the company and a company match up to 2% of your annual salaryProfit sharingDiscretionary annual bonusPaid vacation and holidaysHarder University training and development, as well as other paid professional development opportunitiesTeam environment that promotes individual growthHMC reserves the right to perform a drug screening and background check, as may be required, and this offer may be contingent on passing a drug screening and background check.
