Project Executive – Data Center Construction
Reports To: Vice President Operations – Data Center
Location: Any City - U.S.
Base Salary Range: $185,000 to $250,000

About the Role
As a Project Executive, you are responsible for account management and strategic operations for a portfolio of electrical construction projects. The primary responsibilities include leading and developing a high-performing team of project managers and support staff, maintaining and growing client relationships, and driving planning, execution, and financial performance from pursuit through closeout.
Project Development
- Building relationships with customers, end-users, general contractors, and partners
- Leading pursuit efforts, proposal development, and risk/terms review
- Managing the Project Charter process with upper management
- Overseeing development of detailed estimates, budgets, and manpower plans
- Coordinating with field leadership and assembling project teams
- Ensuring readiness for project execution, including job start meetings
- Monitoring all project activity weekly and reporting status to senior leadership
Customer Relationships
- Meeting regularly with key partners to align on future opportunities
- Positioning the organization for work that fits our project profiles
- Representing the company with integrity and ethical business practices
- Building long-term relationships with preferred general contractors and facility owners
People Development
- Preparing and executing hiring plans
- Coordinating with HR to identify, interview, evaluate, and onboard candidates
- Serving as mentor and primary leader for project staff
- Assessing training and development needs for team members
- Ensuring each jobsite has defined roles, responsibilities, and expectations
- Supporting succession planning and rotating responsibilities on long-duration projects
Financial & Risk Management
- Ensuring scope, price, and schedule remain within the approved profile
- Communicating increased risks or reduced rewards immediately, with recovery plans
- Monitoring financial performance weekly and risk profile bi-weekly
- Ensuring accurate cost coding from estimates into accounting systems
- Confirming accurate translation of manhours and schedules into labor planning tools
Safety
- Participating in quarterly Safety Leadership Teams and monthly PM jobsite meetings
- Reporting safety incidents to senior management
- Monitoring safety performance across jobsites
- Supporting collection and reporting of safety KPIs
Scope
- Establishes operational objectives and work plans for multiple teams
- Delegates assignments and ensures overall performance success
- Helps develop or execute company policies that may impact multiple divisions
Complexity
- Works on complex issues requiring deep understanding of organizational objectives
- Implements strategic policies and selects evaluation criteria for results
- Ensures adherence to budgets, schedules, and performance requirements
Interaction
- Regular interaction with senior leadership and executive levels
- Influences thinking and gains acceptance in sensitive, high-impact situations
Supervision
- Manages activities of two or more departments or sections
- May have subordinate supervisors
- Accountable for staffing, methods, budgets, and performance outcomes
About You
You are highly experienced in construction processes, project management, and leading teams on complex electrical projects. You bring:
- 8–10 years managing teams and client relationships in commercial, utility, alternative energy, or data center markets
- At least 10 years of experience in complex electrical construction
- A polished, professional approach to securing and managing large-scale projects

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or similar preferred
Licensure/Certifications:
- None required
Experience:
- Eight (8) or more years of project management experience on large complex commercial projects
- Ten (10) or more years managing teams and client relationships on electrical construction projects
Driving Record:
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
