Apply today and help us build what matters.Position Summary The Project Executive, Data Centers is responsible for leading, coordinating, and delivering multiple large-scale, mission-critical data center projects across Building US. This role operates as a senior leader accountable for overall project performance, client relationships, and business outcomes. The Project Executive partners closely with Construction Executives, General Superintendents, Preconstruction and Project teams to ensure successful delivery across safety, quality, schedule, and financial performance. This role plays a critical part in driving pursuit strategy, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring Building US remains a trusted partner in the data center and mission-critical market.Key Responsibilities:Project Leadership & Delivery OversightLead and oversee multiple data center projects, ensuring alignment with Building US standards for safety, quality, schedule, and costProvide strategic direction to project teams across all phases including preconstruction, execution, commissioning, and closeoutServe as a senior resource to teams in resolving complex project challenges, including cost, schedule, quality, and risk managementConduct regular project reviews and audits to ensure financial accuracy, schedule adherence, and overall team healthData Center Strategy & Mission-Critical ExecutionEnsure successful delivery of mission-critical facilities, including hyperscale, enterprise, and colocation data centersOversee integration of complex MEP systems including electrical distribution, cooling infrastructure, redundancy systems, and commissioning requirementsPartner with General Superintendents and MEP leaders to ensure execution strategies support uptime, performance, and client expectationsDrive alignment between design, construction, and commissioning to ensure seamless project turnoverPreconstruction & Pursuit LeadershipLead pursuit strategy and actively participate in identifying and securing new data center opportunitiesPartner with Business Development, Marketing, and Preconstruction teams to lead proposals, estimating, and client presentationsDemonstrate strong conceptual estimating capability and deep understanding of mission-critical cost driversLead negotiation of contracts with owners and trade partners to mitigate risk and optimize project outcomesFinancial Performance & Risk ManagementOwn project financial performance, ensuring accurate forecasting, reporting, and profitability across all assigned projectsGuide teams on buyout strategies, subcontractor selection, and cost management practicesIdentify and mitigate project risks proactively, ensuring alignment with contract terms and company objectivesDrive strategies that enhance fee opportunities and optimize financial outcomesClient Leadership & Business DevelopmentOwn and develop senior-level client relationships across the data center and mission-critical marketEnsure project teams maintain strong, long-term partnerships with clients, design teams, and trade partnersDrive high levels of client satisfaction and repeat businessRepresent Building US as a trusted advisor and partner in the delivery of complex projectsTeam Leadership & Talent DevelopmentAttract, lead, coach, and develop high-performing project teams, including Project Managers, Superintendents, and support staffBuild and scale teams capable of delivering complex, high-growth data center projectsCreate a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementSupport leadership development and succession planning across the organizationOperational Excellence & InnovationPromote and ensure consistent use of Building US resources and best practices, including VDC, Lean construction, sustainability, and prefabrication strategiesDrive adoption of innovative construction methodologies and technologies to improve efficiency and outcomesEnsure consistent execution of Building US policies, procedures, and operational standardsSafety, Quality & CultureChampion Building US's safety-first culture and ensure industry-leading safety performance across all projectsEnsure quality standards and inspection processes are consistently executedAct as an ambassador of Building US culture, values, and leadership expectationsWhat You'll Bring:14+ years of experience in construction, with significant experience in data center or mission-critical projectsProven success leading multiple large, complex projects simultaneouslyStrong experience in preconstruction, estimating, and contract negotiationDeep understanding of construction financials, forecasting, and risk managementOSHA certification required (OSHA 10 minimum; OSHA 30 preferred)Strong business development capability with an established network in the data center or mission-critical marketDemonstrated success managing profitable projects and delivering strong financial outcomesDeep knowledge of MEP systems, commissioning processes, and mission-critical construction requirementsStrong leadership and team development skills, with experience managing large, cross-functional teamsAdvanced understanding of contract structures, risk mitigation, and GMP delivery modelsExcellent communication and executive presence with the ability to influence at all levelsStrong industry reputation with clients, consultants, and trade partnersDeep expertise in data center and mission-critical constructionA strategic, business-oriented leadership mindsetAbility to lead in high-growth, fast-paced environmentsStrong client focus and relationship management capabilityA commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellenceA collaborative, team-first approach aligned with Building US valuesLay the Foundation for Your Next Career Move.
