Job TitleResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for civil and environmental scopes including:Site work and earthworkUtilities (storm, sanitary, water)Environmental remediation projectsVapor intrusion mitigation systemsGeomembranes, liners, and specialty environmental materialsReview and analyze plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, and environmental reports (Phase I/II, RAPs, RAWPs, etc.).Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.Develop bid pricing, alternates, and value engineering options.Identify project risks, assumptions, exclusions, and constructability issues.Assist project managers with budgets, job cost forecasting, and change order pricing.Participate in pre-bid meetings, site walks, and scope reviews.Support project handoff from estimating to operations teams.Maintain historical cost data and unit pricing databases.Ensure environmental compliance considerations are included in estimates (soil handling, groundwater management, safety, monitoring, reporting).Qualifications5+ years of estimating experience in civil construction and/or environmental contracting.Strong knowledge of site work, utility construction, and environmental remediation practices.Ability to read and interpret civil and environmental drawings, plans, and specifications.Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, HeavyBid, or similar tools.Strong Microsoft Excel skills.Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.Experience with environmental construction means and methods preferred.Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Engineering, or related field preferred.Familiarity with environmental regulations (NJDEP, NYSDEC, etc.) preferred.Field experience in civil or environmental construction preferred.BenefitsCompetitive CompensationHealth InsuranceRetirement PlanPaid Time OffCareer Growth OpportunitiesExposure to Environmental & Civil Infrastructure Projects
