Project Estimator/ManagerWylander, a recruiting company specializing in the construction and restoration industry, is hiring a Project Estimator/Manager for a full-service restoration company in Birmingham, AL.Compensation and Benefits:Base salary: $65,000 plus (DOE) + Commission/ BonusHealth Benefits (Medical, Dental and Vision)Life InsuranceElectronics PackageCompany Vehicle (take home)PTO + Paid HolidaysThe Project Estimator/Manager is responsible for the oversight and management of the project cycle for restoration projects by providing direction and coordination of all field activities related to the installation teams and any coordinated subcontracts, helping to estimate the loss and reconstruction of the entire project through the use of Xactimate; managing the project schedule throughout the project lifecycle; and securing any unique materials, permits and/or equipment required to complete the project.This role does have growth opportunities to become a Division Manager.Responsibilities:Use Xactimate software to estimate residential and commercial water and fire restoration/construction projectsAbility to estimate and manage reconstruction projects up to at least $1 million per yearNegotiate restoration/construction services and insurance claim settlementsFollow up on written estimates to secure the salePlan, organize, and manage crews and subcontractorsParticipate in the design, process, and permit submittalEstablish and maintain client relationshipsComplete monthly expense reportsAbility to be on call through company rotationAttend all appropriate company meetingsAttend regular company-sponsored training sessionsAdditional duties required as neededRequirements:5 plus years of experience as a project manager, preferably in the restoration/ construction industryKnowledge of Xactimate software is requiredAbility to manage budgets and schedulesPossess exceptional organizational and planning skills (detail-oriented person)Ability to recognize and solve problems independentlyStrong communication and negotiation skillsSelf-motivated, responsible, and accountableMust be willing to undergo a background checkKeywords: construction, project management, Xactimate
