Project EstimatorThe Project Estimator is responsible to review the client technology needs and come up with a design estimate that best fits the requirements. The position requires good understanding of Physical Security discipline and labor cost analysis. This position will be collaborating closely with Sales and Engineering team to ensure time, material and costs are all identified and accounted for.Major Roles and ResponsibilitiesResearch, design and build estimates to fit the requirements (based on walkthroughs, specs, or bids)Conduct research and analysis to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times etc.Read blueprints and analyze all other applicable documents to prepare estimatesMarkup floorplans for equipment placing and pathwaysResearch various technology solutions to evaluate best use case scenariosManage pricing from various vendors and manufacturersEnsure timely completion of estimatesAssist sales team in final project preparation transactionsBuild relationships with key vendorsProvide product demos and consultations as neededEnsure company policies and standard practices are followedInteract with all clients and be the face of Prime SecuredWork in partnership with the Sales, Project Management and Engineering teams on larger scale projectsPrepare and submit reports as requiredEnsure departmental daily records and other management tools are maintained and accuratePerform other duties and tasks as assignedQualifications and Education RequirementsMust have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the security industryAbility to read blueprints is requiredCritical thinking, analytical, and organizational skillsMust be able to work on fast paced projects and work environmentMust be detail orientedMust be self-motivated and be able to work and be successful with limited supervisionExperience with low voltage wiring and knowledge of the aspects of security equipment (cameras, mag-locks, panels, etc.) installation is requiredMust have a good understanding of strike wire, data cabling, connectors, door contacts, hardware, and installation of cameras and softwareMust understand the fundamentals of electricity including relay logic circuitsMust have a valid driver's license and the ability to travel to regional job sitesMust have very strong customer service skillsGood judgment is requiredAdditional NotesProbationary period of 90 daysIndividuals with a felony or misdemeanor convictions MAY not be hiredIndividuals must not have any alcohol or drug-related convictions or suspensions within the past three years.Individual must be able to read and understand instructions in English as well as possess good oral and written communication skillsIndividual must be able to pass a drug and physical screening as well as background requirementsIndividual must be available to work variable hours and willing to travelPrime Secured is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
