Water Resource Project EngineerEmployees in this job complete a variety of professional engineering assignments. The duties of a water resource project engineer will vary between positions, but generally, a water resource engineer works on designing pump systems, water and wastewater treatment plants, and pipelines.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesComplete studies, reports, and investigations of water, wastewater, and drainage issues based upon needs and desires of clientsWork closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projectsDevelop plans, specifications, and probable opinion of construction cost estimates for water and wastewater projectsComplete design calculation utilizing spreadsheets and computer-based design softwareComplete computer modeling for water distribution, wastewater collection and drainage systemsPrepare permit applications relative to water and wastewater facilities.Remain updated on current professional practices and maintain a high awareness of new products and procedures in industry by monitoring trade publications and actively participating in professional associationsCooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants and provide technical supportRequirements0-4 Years of ExperienceBachelor's degree in civil engineering or environmental engineering. Include GPA in Education & Certification.EIT Preferred.
