Project EngineerResponsible for ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) Section 8 Division 1 code calculations on all proposed and sold pressure containing vessels. The Project Engineer takes the lead in the design and development of the project from the quoting stage all the way thru equipment installation and start-up.Duties/Responsibilities:Specifying a cost effective and reliable solution to meet or exceed the objective of the associated applicationWork closely with sales as a consultative selling partner to assist in converting the quote to an orderPerform product design functions in the appropriate CAD softwareEnsure all designs are code compliant (when required), and all required documentation is providedWorking knowledge and ability to apply ASME Pressure Vessel code section VIII, Division 1 to code calculations for pressure retaining vessel designs.Obtain customer approvals for drawings and designs when appropriateWork closely with operations management and shop floor personnel to ensure efficient manufacture of related productsWork closely with Purchasing to specify purchased products within the guidelines of set standards and work in partnership in the coordination of any necessary 3rd party vendor partnersWork closely with CAD in an advisory role during the Process Engineering phase to prepare sub-components and components for manufactureSupport quality in the tracking and root cause analysis of any Cost of Quality measurementsTake a lead role in the timely resolution of any customer service / field service issuesOther duties as requiredTravel as requiredRequired Skills/Abilities:Requires the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organizationExcellent Project Management skills requiredAbility to multi-task, managing a wide variety of priorities simultaneouslyStrong multi-faceted engineering aptitude, with mechanical engineering skills a requirementHighly computer literate, with experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs and ERPExperienced with CAD software, ideally AutoCad and Solid WorksExcellent written & verbal communication skills are requiredExperience/Education:Minimum B.S. in Engineering degree from an accredited universityStrong familiarity with Engineering and Design standardsRelevant industry experience is a definite plus, but not requiredExperience with ASME code calculation and design software (i.e.
Compress or PVElite).Accredited PE license in ASME pressure vessel design would be beneficial
