Project EngineerWe are seeking motivated Project Engineers to support the successful delivery of complex construction projects across the Southwest, including commercial, industrial, mission-critical, semiconductor, and data center sectors. This role works closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards.The Project Engineer is responsible for coordinating project documentation, supporting procurement and cost control efforts, assisting with scheduling and forecasting, and facilitating communication among project stakeholders. This position also contributes to resolving commercial issues, managing subcontractor and supplier processes, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, owners, and trade partners.
Additionally, the role involves mentoring Field Engineers, supporting reporting and meetings, and helping drive overall project performance and productivity.ResponsibilitiesCoordinates directly with the Project Manager and Project Superintendent to support project success, including fostering a positive safety and quality cultureMentors and develop Field EngineersChampions cost management, forecasting and control, including issuance of purchase orders, subcontract agreements, change orders, etc.Champions the procurement of all materials and equipment associated within their assigned scope, including all submittals, and ensures compliance with the project requirementsChampions the procurement schedule and participates in overall project schedule development and forecastingAssists the Project Manager with resolving commercial matters with owners, subcontractors and suppliers, as well as pricing owner change ordersEnsures the Field Engineer possesses the most current project documents, including drawings, specifications, submittals, requests for information (RFIs), etc.Champions construction permit applications and renewals, as required by the projectActively participates in daily and weekly project meetingsGenerates weekly production reports and champions weekly productivity meetingsReviews and processes subcontractor and supplier invoicesGenerates monthly project progress reports for the Project Manager's reviewAssists the Project Manager with assembling monthly owner payment applicationsDevelops and preserves a positive business relationship with owners, clients, engineers and trade partners while ensuring contractual compliance with all partiesQualificationsAbility to assume responsibility, interface and effectively communicate with othersProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Positive and teachable attitudePossesses excellent organizational, verbal, written and presentation skillsExperience leading field-level staff and successfully achieving project goalsEducation/CertificationsBachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering and a minimum of two (2) years of relative construction experience as a Field Engineer, Field Superintendent or similarExtensive relative construction experience will be considered in lieu of formal educationSafety LevelThis is a safety sensitive position, and all applicable policies including drug test and background check will apply.Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, bending, squatting, climbing, balancing, reaching, pushing, pulling, and crawling.Visual and hearing acuity required.Physically fit for heavy industrial construction workAbility to work overtime, nights, and weekends as requiredAbility to understand verbal instructions in English and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.Work performed in fabrication shops, industrial construction sites, and offshore facilities.Exposure to varying weather conditions, loud noise, moving mechanical parts, electrical energy, fabrication equipment, chemicals, and airborne particles.May be required to work in confined spaces and at heights exceeding 200 feet while wearing full-body harness and required PPE.Assignments may involve multiple or unanticipated worksites.
