Project EngineerProject Engineer will work in the Asset management Outside Plant (OP) Transmission Engineering & Design Group utilizing a broad knowledge of engineering and construction principles, and practices.Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop and review project engineering scope of workEnsure projects adhere to internal standards and external regulations while maintaining proper documentationOversee project planning, forecasting, and implementationServe as liaison between contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project executionMonitor technical deliverables to maintain schedule adherenceIdentify and implement efficient solutions to problems, making critical decisions that may impact project schedule and budgetLead technical initiatives while supervising project teams comprising of design engineers and other key stakeholdersTrack project milestones while consulting with team members to ensure on-time delivery within budget constraintsMinimize risks associated with engineering aspectsInterpret stakeholder needs, expectations, and limitations to facilitate successful project deliveryCoordinate procurement of major transmission equipment (underground cables, structures, hardware assemblies)Create scope documents and review technical engineering specificationsPerform commissioning and qualification responsibilitiesProvide supervision and technical guidance to junior engineersConduct technical reviews of engineering design packages and provide related feedbackReview and approve all new and retired Transmission Assets data and submit monthly to Accounting GroupManage tracking of Outside Plant Transmission Engineering TFR (Transmission Formula Rate) budget.Job Specific QualificationsRequired Degree, Skills, Knowledge and Experience: • Minimum B.S. Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil etc.) • Minimum of 6 years of electric utility, power system infrastructure design, substation or outside plant electric transmission systems • Knowledge of Overhead (OH) and Underground (UG) transmission line design • Familiar with transmission system operation and construction • Prior experience as Lead Project Engineer on a large-scale transmission or generation project • Working knowledge of utility best practices, ASME, NESC, ASCE and other standardsProficient in advanced Microsoft Excel.Clear and concise writing and verbal communications skillsAs the job requires driving to Company locations and off-site assignments and events, must possess a valid U.S. driver's license with a safe and satisfactory driving historyPreferred / Desired SkillsAdvanced Technical or Engineering DegreeAdvanced technical training or P.E.
