In this role you will play a vital part of a growing team, contribute to transportation designs, and mentoring of less seasoned staff members as we add to this team. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated with a strong technical background.ResponsibilitiesConceptual, preliminary and detailed design for transportation projectsDevelopment and mentoring of staffAbility to handle pressure and work under tight deadlinesDeveloping and maintaining client relationshipsDevelopment of scopes of work, fee proposals, cost estimatesClient communication, budget tracking and monthly invoicing with status reportsCoordination with state and federal regulatory agenciesOversight and management of staff working on various tasks (including subconsultant), direct and manage project execution including adherence to scopes, budgets, schedules and implementing quality control proceduresBusiness development in the preparation of marketing materials and proposalsParticipation in marketing events such as seminars, conventions, trade shows and professional organizations and providing support on development and maintenance of sales materialsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringRegistered PE in the state of Texas8+ years of experience in transportation engineering and managing projectsEffective written and verbal communicationExperience mentoring staff is a plusOther duties as assigned
