R. Clark Companies is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Project Engineer to help plan, coordinate, and deliver heavy civil construction projects. You’ll work directly with project managers, superintendents, and field crews to keep complex projects moving safely and efficiently.

• Assist project managers and superintendents with planning, coordinating, and executing heavy civil construction projects.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
• Coordinate daily construction activities with field personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and project management.
• Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and related project documentation.
• Support scheduling, progress tracking, cost control, and budget monitoring.
• Track construction quantities, materials, productivity, and project progress.
• Identify potential conflicts, scheduling concerns, and operational challenges.
• Coordinate with owners, engineers, inspectors, and other project stakeholders.
• Support quality control and compliance with project specifications.
• Promote company safety standards and jobsite procedures.
• Maintain accurate project records and reports.
• Help deliver projects efficiently, safely, and in accordance with contract requirements.
  

• Experience in civil or heavy civil construction, construction engineering, or construction project management.
• Working knowledge of construction plans, specifications, and field operations.
• Knowledge of earthwork, site development, underground utilities, or infrastructure construction is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Proficiency with common construction documentation and project management software.
• Ability to work effectively with project managers, superintendents, field crews, and subcontractors.
• Willingness and ability to travel to assigned project locations and work on site as required by the project schedule.

A background in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline is preferred. Equivalent relevant construction experience may also be considered.

Travel is mandatory, with no exceptions. The selected candidate must travel to assigned project locations and work on site throughout project assignments. The role involves direct work in active construction environments. Remote work is unavailable.

$85,000–$150,000 annually. Compensation depends on qualifications, experience, and demonstrated capabilities.
