Project Engineer - ProductionThis position provides design solutions from receipt of the customer's purchase order through production, installation and final commissioning; both in new product design and existing product redesign.Design expansion joints in compliance with customer PO, drawings and specifications, ASME code and/or EJMA Standards and SFP quote, estimate and standards.Propose changes in equipment, processes or use of materials and services which would result in cost reduction or improvement in expansion joint performance or operations.Provide technical services to customers regarding use, operation and maintenance of expansion joints.Contact customer and customer representatives to resolve, discuss and explain requested changes and design features.Perform field inspections of expansion joints to evaluate condition and recommend repairs or replacement if needed.Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred. Two (2) years related experience in piping design, refining or petrochemical industry or equivalent combination of education and experience. Capable of modeling and drafting in Solidworks or similar 3d modeling software.
Proficient with Microsoft Office software. Must be able to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing, with co-workers, customers and vendors.
