This position works closely with the Project Management team and provides support for the entire life-cycle of a construction project. Project Engineers must demonstrate a solid knowledge in construction practices and provides coordination and administrative support to their assigned project teams. This position is intended for individuals to gain the experience and knowledge required to grow into an Assistant Project Manager.Key ResponsibilitiesProject start-up: complete new project updates in Procore system, distribute initial drawings and plans to all required team members, assist Project Manager with insurance and permits as needed, send Superintendent Field team toolkitsSchedule calls and meetings with internal and external project team members to ensure consistent communication flow throughout the duration of a projectAssists with buyout processReview, process, and distribute submittals via ProcoreCreate and distribute weekly reports as requested by Project ManagerProcess and maintain RFIs in Procore or similar systemPrepare, process, and distribute subcontract agreements, purchase orders, and change ordersAssist in preparation of closeout package process: collect documentation from subcontractors, vendors, architects, clients, and members of the internal project teamOther job responsibilities as assignedOccasional travel to project site as neededQualifications:Must have either a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent professional experienceExperience working for a General Contractor is a plusAble to multitask, prioritize, and manage their time well on tight deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh level of professionalismStrong presentation skillsTeam-player and ability to build relationships well across the organization and teamTechnical Skills:Must have solid MS Office skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OutlookMS Project, Procore, and Timberline/Sage experience is a plusIn addition, Schimenti provides a variety of comprehensive benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, enrollment in our ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan), a retirement savings plan, several paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
