Project EngineerWe are seeking a Project Engineer to provide technical and engineering support in the development, design, and execution of capital and maintenance projects within a chemical or refining environment. This role will collaborate across multiple departments, manage project timelines, and ensure successful implementation from concept through completion.QualificationsB.S. in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical preferred)2–3 years of experience in project management within a petrochemical, refining, or chemical processing environmentKnowledge of project planning, cost estimation, and schedulingProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project)Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skillsKey ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed project design specifications from conceptual ideas with minimal directionPrepare and conduct project review presentations to align with stakeholders and refine project detailsCollaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure design, safety, and operational requirements are metPrepare preliminary and detailed cost estimates, justifications, and project documentation for management approvalsDevelop and manage project schedules to ensure on-time completion while optimizing available resourcesMonitor all phases of project execution, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and timelinesCoordinate and oversee contractors, consultants, vendors, and design services as neededSpecify and procure materials, equipment, and services, ensuring compliance with design codes and process requirementsDocument all phases of design, construction, and installation to maintain quality and regulatory complianceLead or participate in the Management of Change (MOC) process, including Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR)Provide post-installation follow-up, including equipment documentation, preventive maintenance planning, spare parts acquisition, and lessons learnedSupport shutdown planning, engineering specifications, and continuous improvement initiatives within the Maintenance and Engineering departments
