Supervises project field installation and startups to ensure established safety rules and procedures are followed, projects are completed on time, and within approved project cost. Other responsibilities include:Designs, implements, and communicates an operational plan for completing projects including project schedules, budgets, and forecasts. Documents plan, assembles appropriation request, and obtains organizational project approvalsPrepares engineering designs and work specificationsReviews and approves drawings including flow sheets, isometrics, P&IDs, layout drawings, and vendor submittalsDevelops RFP packages with appropriate selection criteria and metricsEnsures safe implementation of project construction by enforcing the established safety rules and proceduresOversees contractor activities to insure they comply with established company standardsMonitors progress and performance against the project plan. Takes action to resolve operational problems and minimize delaysReviews industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, regulatory compliance, and incorporates Recognized And Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP) into designsCollaborates with other engineers and technical personnel and coordinates their specialized contributions to the development of the projectIdentifies, evaluates, monitors, and reports project risk according to company risk assessment policyLead and participate in MOC process, safety reviews, pre-startup safety reviews to ensure successful project execution and close outResponsible for maintaining project documentation, project close out and documentation turnover to operations and maintenanceJob RequirementsA successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, with a minimum of 4 years' relevant experience in project management in the petrochemical industry.Proficiency in SAP is preferred.PSM experience preferred.Project Management Certification is desirableZeon Chemicals does not discriminate in employment on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, physical or mental disability, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
