Responsibilities:
- Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor assigned engineering tasks. • System component design and specification.
- Supporting process design team.
- Detail engineering including development, review and approval of PFDs, P&IDs, layout drawings and piping isometrics.
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
- Interact with clients in a timely manner to interpret their needs and requirements.
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager, engineering manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
- Continuously perform risk evaluation and control tasks on budgets (profitability), schedules, and quality, while reporting on the project's status.
- Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
- Prepare cost estimates.
- Confirm product performance by designing and conducting tests.
- Complete technical studies.
- Preparation of necessary documents, such as data sheets, utility lists, etc. • Coordinate shipping requirements internally and externally.
- Developing specifications and RFQs for the project's needed equipment.
- Creating purchase requests for procurement.
- Bid comparisons based on price, technical and schedule.
- Troubleshoot client problems, design and propose solutions.
- Administer and manage contractor and vendor contracts.
- Maintain electronic project data base per company standards.
- Support Sales in developing technical solutions for new projects based on his or her experience.
- Support Sales with feedback on up to date material cost information from current projects managed.
- Support Sales in technical presentations to clients.
- Vendor interface including:
- Expediting, approval process and QC inspections
- Solicit quotes for equipment as specified
- Bid comparisons based on price, technical and schedule

Job Requirements:
- B.S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or similar BS degree
- Minimum five years of demonstrated experience as project engineer
- Ability to work with multiple discipline projects simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices.
- The focus of this position will be on projects for bulk material handling systems for Food Processing Plants.
- Experience in project execution, equipment specification and design as follows:
- Bulk material handling of dry and liquid materials, weighing, dosing, and batching o PFD & P&ID development and maintenance.
- Pneumatic conveying systems (dilute & dense phase technology)
- Dust abatement equipment; compressors & PD blowers; heat exchangers
- Belt & screw conveyors; vibrating screen separators
- Compounders, cyclones, filters, rotary valves, diverter valves, LIW feeders, scales, silos, weigh hoppers, structural steel platforms, bagging/packaging equipment, and PLC process control systems.
- Strong team player
- Valid DL and ability to obtain passport
- 5-10% project related travel within North America based on project demands.
