Tutor Perini O&G JV is seeking a Project Engineer to join the project in Manhattan, NY.DESCRIPTION:As a Project Engineer at Tutor Perini O&G Joint Venture, reporting to the Project Manager you will have the opportunity to:Inspects construction site daily and works with contractors to schedule deliveries.Demonstrates understanding of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within construction fieldInterprets designs and drawings for crafts installing materials and qualificationsResearch and resolves drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interference, and errorsPrepares field design change requisitions and "as built" drawings, as requiredPrepares and disseminates all required documentation records such as status reports, punch lists describing work items to be done, sketches of work already completed, material requirement calculations, etc., to supervisorVerifies that all completed work complies with applicable codes, drawings, and specificationsReviews and comments on viability of design as required. Conducts value engineering functionsAttends meetings with other contractors, clients, or A/E representatives to coordinate design and construction effortsProvides necessary building control lines and elevations for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials or equipmentDemonstrates a working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings, and specifications, building materials and required standards applicable to disciplineObserves construction work performed in the fieldCreates and processes RFI'sParticipates in job walks and documents and reports findingsUnderstands company's quality control plan and takes weekly photos to document any quality control issuesResearches and proposes solutions to quality control issuesGenerates queries and reports in Procore softwareResponsible for the review and maintenance of Quality Assurance/Quality Control Policies and ProceduresUnderstands company safety program and participates in safety inspectionsCreates specification checklistsReview submittals against specifications.
