Project EngineerFrench & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking a Project Engineer for our Municipal department in Hackettstown, NJ.ResponsibilitiesSupport the planning, design, and execution of municipal infrastructure projects, including roadway improvements, drainage systems, water distribution, sanitary sewer systems, and capital improvement programsPrepare engineering calculations, technical specifications, reports, and construction documents in accordance with local, state, and federal regulationsDevelop plans, profiles, and details using design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3DCoordinate with project managers, senior engineers, and other disciplines to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budgetInterface with municipal clients, regulatory agencies, and utility providers to support project approvals and permitting effortsReview shop drawings, RFIs, and contractor submittals during the construction phaseProvide construction support services, including responding to field inquiries and performing site visits as neededParticipate in client meetings, public presentations, and coordination meetingsAssist with the preparation of cost estimates, schedules, and project budgetsEnsure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and agency requirementsMentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team environmentQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field4–8 years of relevant experience in municipal engineering or public infrastructure projectsProfessional Engineer (PE) license requiredProficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong understanding of municipal design standards and permitting processesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlinesValid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as neededBenefitsWe understand that a fulfilling career is about more than just the work you do – it's about feeling secure in your health, confident in your financial future, and balanced in your personal and professional life.
