Summary:
Our award-winning client is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team.Our client is a leading manufacturer of components for railway vehicles, buses, and airport technology, is searching for a Project Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you'll play a key role in leading new and existing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage new development projects (internal and external) while supporting senior engineers.
  • Become the bridge between client USA, customers, and client Germany, handling project management, design issues, and communication.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring all parties are aware of deadlines and expectations.
  • Partner with the Quality Department to guarantee adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Analyze project requirements, identify potential issues, and propose solutions.
  • Create and present technical documentation for each customer, including technical descriptions, mounting instructions, and RAMS.
  • Foster a collaborative partnership with customers through clear and consistent communication.
  • Utilize your engineering expertise to interpret drawings and relay design information.
  • Participate in team meetings, providing expert insights and contributing to a cohesive work environment.
  • Travel up to 25% per year may be required.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field (experience may substitute for formal education).
  • 3+ years of experience in project management.
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling applications (CATIA V5 preferred).
  • Ability to learn and utilize ERP/MRP/PLM software relevant to Production and Manufacturing (SAP a plus).
  • Understanding of European and US industry standards.
  • Prior experience within the Transportation Industry beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle a fast-paced environment.
