The Factory Project Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership by identifying, developing and executing capital projects for the factory. This position will maintain visibility to the design process and assure adherence to all established key components and project deliverables as well as directly manage overall project execution including construction and commissioning. Additionally, this position will coordinate with the client as well as various other groups inside and outside of the organization.Job Duties/ResponsibilitiesPreliminary Project Development including Charter development - 20%Project Execution support and facilitation - 45%Administrative / Business support - 15%Safety - 10%Other - 10%EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS (BA/BS)Preferred or equivalent experience and minimum 1-2 years of related work experience.EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTSStrong analytical and conceptual thinking skillsAbility to analyze dataAbility to using problem solving techniques to resolve issues and implement changeExcellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skillsProven ability to complete major projects in a manufacturing environmentAbility to schedule resources effectively so continuous improvement is not sacrificed for day to day resultsAdditional consideration for those that are considered subject matter experts in a particular field of engineering (process, packaging, refrigeration, etc.)Coaching required from Factory Engineering Manager on regular basisProject Management experience 1-2 years, leading on projects less then $1 millionLeveraging PMI Project management institute stage gate procedures and toolsAble to manage Scope, Cost Schedule and risks on small and minor projectsIt is our business imperative to remain a very inclusive workplace.
