Project EngineerA growing general contractor is seeking a Project Engineer to support ground-up multifamily construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and ownership teams to help maintain project schedules, procurement, documentation, and overall project coordination.Projects may include multifamily, affordable housing, mixed-use, podium, wrap, urban infill, and residential developments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow into an Assistant Project Manager and eventually a Project Manager role while gaining exposure to all phases of construction.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport project teams from preconstruction through closeoutManage RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project documentationCoordinate with Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and consultantsAssist with procurement and tracking of materials and long-lead equipmentSupport budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and project reportingParticipate in owner meetings, subcontractor meetings, and project coordination meetingsReview drawings and specifications to identify coordination issuesAssist with schedule updates, milestone tracking, and reportingSupport project closeout activities including punch lists and turnover documentationHelp maintain schedule and budget goals through proactive coordinationWork closely with field teams to ensure alignment between office and field operationsRequirements1–5+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or similar roleGround-up multifamily construction experience preferredExperience with podium, wrap, affordable housing, mixed-use, wood-frame, or urban infill projects preferredStrong understanding of construction documentation and subcontractor coordinationAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsExperience supporting procurement, project controls, and field coordination preferredStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced construction environmentsPreferred QualificationsDegree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferredExperience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft OfficeExperience on projects ranging from 50–300+ units preferredCompensation & BenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid holidays and PTOVehicle allowance or reimbursement programStrong multifamily project pipelineClear growth path into Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager roles
