nSummary
nAs a Project Engineer, you'll support the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale treatment and industrial projects. You'll work closely with project managers, superintendents, and field teams to ensure work is completedsafely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
nA key part of this role is helping leverage Baker Waters' self-perform capabilities - giving our teams greater control over schedule, cost, and craftsmanship. This role is integral to the construction and commissioning ofwastewater treatment plants, water reclamation facilities, and water treatment systems, with a strong emphasis onself-perform construction.
nRoles and Responsibilities
nTheProject Engineer will possess competency in the following areas in order to perform this role in a safe, productive, and effective manner. Note that the areas listed are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by co-workers assigned to this role. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all the responsibilities, skills, efforts, or working conditions associated with this job.
nMaintain and distribute contract documents, addenda, field orders, RFIs, and RFPs.
nReview and track shop drawings and submittals for specification compliance.
nSupport project quality control efforts, including deviation reports, pre-pour inspections, and testing requirements.
nCoordinate RFIs among owners, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
nAssist in preparing proposals and owner change order requests, including pricing of self-perform work.
nMaintain "As-Built" drawings and prepare project close-out documentation.
nCollect and organize O&M manuals, guarantees, and warranties.
nHelp maximize efficiency and quality through effective use of self-perform work.
nRequirements
n1-3 years of experience in water/wastewater construction or related heavy civil work.
nBS in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
nWorking knowledge of construction practices, scheduling, and safety protocols.
nStrong proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with Bluebeam preferred.
nExcellent communication and teamwork skills.
nStrong technical and mechanical aptitude.
