Project Engineer IWe are seeking an experienced Project Engineer I to assist, support, and collaborate on the management and execution of a project safely and profitably. The candidate will work with their assigned project manager to help achieve their respective project management objectives.Essential FunctionsDevelop and implement project execution strategiesMaintain and communicate various project performance metrics and analyticsProvide leadership and support to functional area managersSupport forecasting and reportingAct as a liaison between the superintendent and the subcontractors in coordinating the delivery date of materials by analyzing the schedule and the required installation dates.Construction engineeringWork with subcontractors and vendorsFoster and maintain favorable relationships with project stakeholdersMarket and promote the Superior Construction brandOtherAssist with the leadership and development of team membersFoster and maintain a safe work environmentStrong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsAll other duties as assignedCompetenciesEthical conductDiversity and inclusionResults drivenTeamwork orientationExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skillsSupervisory RequirementsThis position will have direct reports and supervisory requirements.Work EnvironmentAdditionally, a pressurized environment is the norm. The employee will be working on heavy civil and highway construction sites.

The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to navigate rugged terrain, climb substantial heights, and work over and on water.

The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multilimbed coordination. The employee must have excellent stamina.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time exempt position.
