Project Engineer-KWFSLocation: Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, Westlake, Orlando, Corpus Christi, Dallas, AlpharettaPosition Overview: As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the administrative and technical aspects of constructing a project. You will be managing a team of field and cost engineers. In this role, you will be the main conduit of information between the construction manager and the team for cost, revenue, and cash flow information. You will have the opportunity to develop the people below you.District Overview: Kiewit Water Facilities South specializes in constructing water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, and desalination plants across North America. Because our people receive continuous and extensive training, hands-on experience, and challenging responsibilities from day one, they quickly develop the expertise that has earned our district its reputation as the premier contractor in the southeast United States.Responsibilities:Manage scheduling of the projectRevenue, cost, and cash flow managementEngineering of temporary structuresPermanent design management and quality controlProject closeoutClient relationsAssist in operations planningAdminister contracts and subcontractsTraining and development of field engineersManage project progress and productivityQualifications:Ability to travel and relocate as neededUndergraduate degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or equivalent5+ years' work experience in construction or engineeringExperience managing engineersAbility to read, analyze, and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documentsHighly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiativeStrong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first timeDemonstrated commitment to ethics and integrityPassion for safety, with a commitment to help us ensure that nobody gets hurtStrong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsTeam player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectivesStrong organization, time management, and attention to detailOther Requirements:Regular, reliable attendanceWork productively and meet deadlines timelyCommunicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.Perform work safely and effectively.
