Responsibilities as Construction Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager are similar to draftsmen:
- Responsible for BIM modeling and coordinating with GC
- Read and understand the contract and specifications of projects
- Communicate with suppliers and collect product data sheets for submittal
- Create rebar shop drawings per structural drawings using AutoCAD
- Create concrete layout drawings per structural and architectural drawings using AutoCAD
- Recognize discrepancies between drawings and notify management
- Communicate with job site team members to convey and document their Request For Information
Required Work Experience:
- This is an entry level position, familiarity with concrete construction projects and job sites are necessary. 1 to 3 years of experience is acceptable.
Skills:
- Advanced knowledge in computer and office equipment is required
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office products specially Word and Excel is required
- Advanced knowledge in 2D modelling with AutoCAD for construction is required
- Advanced knowledge in 3D modelling with Revit for concrete is required
- Advanced understanding of design drawings i.e. Architectural, Civil, Structural drawings is required
Education:
- At least an Associate degree related to buildings, construction, architecture or engineering is required. Bachelors or Masters degree in relevant fields is a plus.
