Throughout it all, our team has remained dedicated to our clients, helping to identify pragmatic solutions to help them achieve their business objectives.We are seeking an intermediate-level Project Engineer in our Irvine, California office with experience in environmental field work, general Civil engineering, and supporting report preparation. The qualified candidates must have 5 years of professional experience with the following environmental activities:Perform general Civil engineering design, calculations, and preparation of construction bidding and technical specifications including, but not limited to, vapor intrusion design, retaining wall design, lift station design, dewatering, grading, landfill design, water supply design, and wastewater treatment plant designConduct construction oversight and management of project documentation throughout construction, including responding to RFI's and submittalsConduct soil, groundwater, indoor air and soil-gas samplingConduct remediation oversight and confirmation samplingReport writing including design reports, environmental reports, and laboratory data analysisPreparing groundwater elevation contour maps and geologic cross sectionsPerforming statistical evaluation of various environmental monitoring dataQualificationsBS in Environmental or Civil Engineering, or related fieldEIT or P.E.
preferredStrong AutoCAD, GIS, and Microsoft Office Word and Excel skillsStrong design and technical writing skillsMixture of field and office related tasks with an anticipated field percentage of up to 50%Ability to travel throughout California, occasionally on short notice. Field work may require extended stays in Central and Northern California.Valid Driver's License and the ability to obtain a REAL-ID compliant form of identification for access to secure facilitiesMust communicate effectively with team members, managers, subcontractors, and on-site personnelAble to work independently with limited guidance and detail-orientedStrong understanding of and commitment to health and safety protocolsWilling to work outside, in a variety of climates, and be able to traverse tough terrain at timesWilling to work at active industrial propertiesWilling to work over and/or outside of regular business hours, as needed40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER and 10-hour OSHA Construction certification a plusIntegral to the position will be proficiency in review, interpretation, and application of local, federal, and state environmental regulations, as well as detailed standards from organizations such as ASTM. The qualified person would prepare the supporting reports associated with the above-listed activities in accordance with the applicable standards and agency regulations.
