We have a proven track record in completing projects to full customer satisfaction as a result of our strong work ethic, safety record, and a commitment to outstanding client services.As the Project Engineer III, you will work on-site and be responsible for assisting the Construction Management Team with field project management in locations throughout Alaska and the Pacific Regions. In addition, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining project records, reports and assisting the Construction Management Team with field project management.
You will assist the Project Manager with plans development and data entry into RMS or comparable software for project correspondence and act as a Project Manager as needed.Supports project planning and RFPs.Understands the project contract.Manages scope and schedule.Prepares daily project reporting including timekeeping; environmental and permit compliance.Creates and maintains project reports including inspection reports, job diaries, photographs, video logs, and subcontractor reports.Maintains documentation in RMS or comparable project document/correspondence software.Provides input for project plans development and assists with writing project plans.Coordinates meetings and meeting notes.Provides work inspection and logging when required.Assists the Construction team including the Project Manager, Construction Manager, Quality Control, and Superintendent with job related tasks.Prepares correspondence as needed.Maintains effective communication and coordination among all project participants.Works in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.Performs other duties as assigned.This position may direct the work of craft and other project workers as needed and directed.Knowledge of construction-related computer applications such as database, spreadsheet, scheduling and job costing software and other standard business applications (Microsoft Office Suite).Knowledge of RMS or comparable project document/correspondence software recommended.Ability to communicate with employees, business partners, and clients professionally and effectively via written and verbal communication methods.Ability to read and write technical documents and plans, routine reports and correspondence.Ability to work independently and work cooperatively with others; ability to work with employees, business partners, and customers in a friendly and positive manner.Ability to visualize, articulate, and solve complex problems and concepts, and make decisions based on available information. Ability to use judgment and discretion.Ability to handle stressful situations and effectively plan and organize duties to meet deadlines.Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Ability to work with concentration, accuracy, and attention to detail.Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.Ability to operate a motor vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or other 4-year degree.Valid state driver's license and must be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of Brice's Driving Policy.Ability to pass a drug, driving, and background screening.Ability to obtain passport and capable of travelling internationally and work in remote locations.Preferred Qualifications:Seven to fifteen years' construction experience preferred.Construction Quality Management, AKCESCL, OSHA 30 /EM385-1-1 certifications preferred.Current First aid and CPR/AED certification preferred.The work environment is typically set in a business office setting with rotations to project sites and prospective project sites.
