Project Engineer IIITextron Systems is seeking a project engineer to technically lead the T-7A Maintenance Training System (MTS) program. For this program, Textron Systems has secured an effort to design and build the MTS for this newly developed aircraft. Project engineers will work primarily with the engineering disciplines and program teams to plan and execute the technical aspects of the project to achieve defined objectives within cost and schedule constraints. Project Engineers lead a multidisciplinary team and provide technical leadership and guidance on development efforts that impact on ground vehicles products and programs. The Project Engineer ensures that the engineering efforts meet customer and internal requirements.T-7A MTS Project Engineer roles and responsibilities:Collaborate closely with Program Management to tightly control program schedule and budgetResolve schedule, resource, and technical conflictsNavigate and lead multidiscipline teams through unusually complex technical problems and provide solutionsCollaborate with functional managers to organize and delegate key tasksInteract daily with program managers, planners, engineers and techniciansGenerate statements of work and managing outside contractor performanceAct as a technical interface between engineering development team, Integrated Product Teams, and Integrated Supply Chain for product and program needsChair (or delegate) responsibilities to execute change control boards for your project/productDevelop discretionary funding plans and requests outlining program needs for successful executionProvide recommendations to senior management regarding critical risk acceptanceDevelop proposals (cost and technical) and basis of estimates for new business opportunitiesPrepare and present engineering work products to internal review teams and external customers at program milestone reviewsManage and coordinate Design, Development, Integration and Test ActivitiesCoordinate Engineering support of Vehicle of builds, outfitting, test and final deliveryResponsible for delivery of associated technical artifacts including Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL's)Responsible for coordination and communication with Integrated Supply chain, Engineering, Program Management and Government customers on all T-7A related tasks, activities, risks and issuesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline, graduate degree in engineering or management disciplines desired6+ years of related experience and ability to obtain Secret clearanceExperience in program planning, control account management, and risk managementExperience in leading internal and external programmatic and technical reviewsExperience in proposal processes and basis of estimate reviewTextron's compensation package includes competitive base pay and provides eligible employees with benefit programs.

The pay range should be used as a general guide only.

Compensation is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
