We are a 5 year running Top Workplace in the Greater St. Louis area.Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a full time Project Engineer level II for our Bridgeton, MO facility. As a Project Engineer level II at Leonardo DRS Land Systems, you will be responsible for leading all engineering efforts for a project or projects on time and budget. A successful candidate will be a resourceful and self-motivated individual and will have a proven track record of effectively leading multi-disciplined engineering teams on both small and large projects. As Project Engineer, you will serve as the interface between the engineering technical team and other departments within the organization, including Program Management, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.

Responsibilities are complex in scope and will require an individual to act independently to manage multiple assignments.Job ResponsibilitiesResponsible for leading all engineering efforts for a project or projects on time and budgetEnsure design compliance with all project requirementsReview customer specifications and requirements, and lead a project team to develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variableProvide budget, cost and schedule input for design assignmentsCommunicate clearly (written and oral) with manufacturing, supply chain, program management and the customer as requiredParticipate heavily in preparation of the more complex and significant proposalsInteract with technical management, other professionals, technicians and support personnel to coordinate, recommend and confer regarding technical activities and progressLead project team(s) as assignedSupport, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organizationAttend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetingsMentor and coach less experienced engineersOther duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 8 years of experience Mastery of technologies and domain knowledge Expected to have knowledge and experience in multiple engineering disciplines enough to lead engineers on the project team U.S. Citizenship required.The salary range for this position is $116,811.00/year- $157,695.00/year for the state of Illinois. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate's qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
