Project Engineer IIProject Management/OperationsAmarillo, TX • Full-Time/RegularPosition SummaryProvide business and administrative support to project management to facilitate the successful planning and coordination of activities on a designated project or group of projects. Assist PM in accomplishing goals and objectives within prescribed time frames and financial parameters.Position DetailsAssist in plan and specification analysis in order to determine clear and consistent interpretations of construction documents.Assist project management with planning work schedule and projecting manpower needs.Assist in the coordination of project personnel activities to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.Advise project management of potential problems, work interferences, schedule difficulties, and the like. Assist in circumventing/resolving such problems as required.Compose and/or edit letters, memos, reports, and procedures as required.Oversee and/or process day-to-day administrative items (i.e., expense reports, supply requisitions, RFI's, submittals, shop drawings, procurement, quantity take-offs, etc.) per supervisor's authorization.Prepare special reports, studies, and statistical analysis per supervisor's request.
May require research, development and/or interpretation of data with little supervision or instruction.Assist with monitoring subcontractors, project scheduling and cost control.Assist with the research and preparation of field change requests to resolve design issues.Participate in the continuous updating and accurate generation of as-built documents.Attend project coordination and owner/contractor/architect/engineer meetings as required.Assume a proactive approach to career development.
