Electrical Project Support SpecialistThis is a salary position exempt from overtime, responsible for supporting Baker Group's Electrical Project Managers. Create and develop relationships supportive of the Baker Group mission statement with employees, internal and external customers. Manage projects in a manner that compliments all facets of the project from design to owner training.

Maintain and grow the "Customer for Life" concept for existing and new customers. Performs related work as required.The following duties are typical for this job. These are not to be constructed as exclusive or all inclusive.

Other duties may be required and assigned.Work with the Project Manager to perform engineering - equipment selection, material submittal review, development of full electrical submittal package for approval by the project team, utilizing Baker Group's standard submittal formatAttend internal and external project meetings, provide written/verbal communication regarding information requests, proposal requests, coordination, submittal reviews, etc.Continuously develop relationships with existing customers and pursue opportunities which provide long-term customer relationships and revenue opportunitiesMaintain technical expertise on all new electrical technologies, products, and tools through continuing education initiativesUtilize company standard documents for business development, pre-proposal checklists, turnovers, subcontracts, purchase orders, warranty, etc.Provide sales support as needed to assist project managers obtain more work by assisting in system design, material selection, estimating, and creating proposalsEnsure customer satisfaction by continual communication with customer on scheduling coordination, project progress, and obtain feedback on Baker Group's performance, communicating any positive or negative feedback to teamSupport execution structure implementation by the Operations Manager, provide input and suggestions for discussion and implementationAssist in coordination of internal and external project meetings, track meeting action items and provide appropriate follow-upUnderstand project scope, deliver on client expectations, and identify opportunities for work above and beyond contracted scopeUnderstand and adhere to contract terms and conditionsIdentify, estimate, and propose change ordersProduce revenue forecasts based upon projects assignedAssist Project Manager with schedule coordination and cost-control to meet or beat estimated project costs on assigned projectsEngineer and produce project submittals utilizing Baker Group standards, select Baker Group's standard parts when applicable, and provide field staff with information needed to be productiveProcure subcontracts as required for installation – utilize procurement documented format when obtaining multiple bidsUtilize company standard documents for business development, pre-proposal checklists, turnovers, subcontracts, purchase orders, warranty, etc.Accurate daily time and equipment reportingMinimum Education & Experience Required to Perform Essential Functions4 Year Engineering Degree with no experience2 Year Technical Degree with 5 years' experienceCertificates, Licenses, RegistrationsPotential to move into Design Engineer role with a Professional Engineer (PE) designationMental and Physical Competencies Required to Perform Essential FunctionsHigh level of concentration to mentally work through issuesBe able to work within a construction site with uneven surfaces to walk on and be aware of other dangersEnvironmental AdaptabilityInside work is typical, space temperature is not always at 72°FOccasional outside work is required to visit construction sites and assess conditions in existing buildingsDress appropriate for comfort and safety in accordance with Jobsite or Baker Group Safety rulesEquipment/ToolsDesktop or Laptop Computer work will be the majority of timeSmall hand tools may be required to perform work
