Project Engineer

Project EngineerHuntsville, ALLogic is seeking a Project Engineer to support operations in the Huntsville area. This role will support day-to-day technical program execution by managing schedules, risks, action items, and coordination across multiple internal and external stakeholders within a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.In this role, you will work closely with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), customer personnel, and cross-functional engineering and program leads to support planning, integration, and execution activities for a complex hardware development effort.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and deliver updates to the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in the customer-required formatPerform schedule variance analysis and provide weekly and monthly updates to customer scheduling personnelSupport resource loading and forecasting activities for IPT functions based on approved schedulesLead and support program planning sessions, coordination meetings, and routine status eventsPrepare and maintain action item logs, meeting notes, and forward-looking activity plansSupport risk, issue, and opportunity tracking and reporting using customer-provided toolsEnsure program documentation and deliverables meet customer formatting requirements and incorporate all customer commentsCoordinate closely with IPT members to ensure alignment to schedule, plans, and milestonesSupport hardware documentation processes, including compliance-related certifications as requiredWork onsite within the customer's required work schedule (typically a 4x10 workweek)Required QualificationsActive, in-scope Secret security clearance required5+ years of work experience in project engineering, program coordination, or schedule integration in an aerospace or defense environmentExperience with IMS development, schedule analysis, or program planning toolsExperience supporting risk, issue, and opportunity management processesStrong communication skills with the ability to lead technical and programmatic meetingsAbility to work onsite and comply with customer work schedule requirementsPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree or higher education in engineering, project management, or a related technical discipline preferredExperience supporting complex hardware development or test equipment programsFamiliarity with customer-specific risk and issue tracking systems, including Boeing Opportunity Risk and Issue System (BORIS)Background in Project Planning & Control (PP&C), Earned Value concepts, or IPT coordinationExperience with configuration management or certification documentationWork ConditionsWork Model: Onsite at customer facilityTravel: None or minimal based on program needsWork Hours: Typically Monday–Thursday, 10-hour shifts; occasional overtime/weekend work may be requiredWhy LogicAt Logic, we support mission-focused defense and space efforts that have real-world impact.
