Project EngineerThe Project Engineer is responsible for supporting and leading capital projects that enhance manufacturing operations, improve efficiency, and drive business performance. This role partners cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, safety, and external vendors to deliver projects from concept through startup. The Project Engineer will develop technical solutions, support project execution, and build project management skills through increasing ownership and complexity of assignments.

This position is designed to grow into a Senior Project Engineering role through demonstrated performance and leadership development.Project Execution & DeliveryLead and support capital projects from concept through startup, with increasing ownership over timeAssist in managing project scope, budgets, timelines, and vendor coordinationDevelop project plans, track milestones, and ensure timely execution of deliverablesSupport equipment installations and lead startup activities in partnership with operationsEngineering & DesignCreate and review production line layouts and equipment designs using CAD toolsTranslate operational needs into practical, cost-effective engineering solutionsPartner with suppliers and contractors to develop and implement equipment and systemsContinuous Improvement & Problem SolvingIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and reliabilityTroubleshoot operational and technical issues and implement corrective actionsSupport the development and standardization of engineering processes and documentationCollaboration & CommunicationCollaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, FSQA, safety, and maintenanceCommunicate project updates and translate technical information for diverse stakeholdersContribute to commercialization and new product development initiativesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field)2–5 years of engineering or project experience (manufacturing environment preferred)Experience supporting or leading projects from concept through implementationStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical challengesWorking knowledge of project management principles (scope, schedule, budget)Proficiency with CAD or similar engineering design toolsEffective communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teamsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentPhysical Demands & Work EnvironmentAbility to work in both office and manufacturing environmentsFrequent walking of production areas with exposure to noise, temperature variations, and industrial equipmentAbility to sit, stand, walk, and use a computer for extended periodsOccasional lifting up to 25lbsTravel RequirementsUp to 15–25% travel may be required for vendor visits, plant support, and project implementationDisclaimer & EEOC Statement:Standard and provided by Legal department.It is the policy of Clemens Food Group to provide equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, genetic information, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
