Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.What You Will Experience In This Position:Review contract specifications, quotes, proposals, and purchase orders to identify build requirements and ensure technical accuracy and appropriate pricingDevelop build schedules for each project and monitor progressProduce Bill of Material, spec sheet, guide drawings, and instructional manuals per customer specificationsRecommend efficient improvements to the customer whenever possibleCoordinate project build activities including civil build, steel fabrication, and meetingsResolve product build issues with manufacturingResolve project build and warranty issues with customers and respond to customer comments on drawingsReview customer drawings and internal drawings to ensure they meet development requirements; identify corrections as neededAcquire customer approval of all documentation requiring approvalIdentify changes in project scope and initiate requests for change ordersIdentify and suggest improvements to the build process to facilitate a standard build (improve bill of materials structure, develop standard builds, etc.)Support Quality Control during customer inspection visits and assist with testing issuesTechnical coordination with component vendors to assure accurate component applicationYou Have:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience, preferred3+ years of experience in power distribution and transmission, or similar experience, preferredAbility to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals and reportsAbility to effectively address inquiries or complaints from internal and external customersAbility to effectively present information to management or other collaboratorsAble to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations, preferredDefine problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsWe Have:A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every dayCommitment to strengthen communities where our employees live and workCore values that shape our culture and drive us to deliver the best for our employees and our customersBenefits to support the lives of our employeesAt nVent, we value our people and their health and well-being.
