Project Engineer (PE)Under the direction of a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager, a Project Engineer will contribute to jobsite planning, productivity, safety, and efficiency. The Project Engineer's duties will include all Project Administrator duties in addition to those listed below. This person should consistently demonstrate integrity, gratitude, excellence, and leadership.Responsibilities:Knows the project better than the customerServes as a backup to the project administratorTracks project quantities and understands the relationship to revenueCollects, organizes, and maintains project documents in appropriate softwareCommunicates project changes to project team and contract manager as neededAssists with requests for information (RFI), including logging, tracking, and communicating information to internal team membersAssists with writing subcontracts as neededProduces purchase ordersItemizes and codes invoices from vendors and subcontractorsAcquires and submits shop drawings and ensures alignment with contract documentsAssists with the management of submittals by coordinating with materials suppliers, logging documentation, and tracking progressTracks, prices, and submits extra work itemsCreates and maintains project schedulesSubmits closeout documents and as-builts as requiredPrepares for and attends internal and external meetingsCommunicates with jobsite leadership daily and other departments as neededAssists with estimating additional workPrioritizes tasks and deadlines with a high level of organizationKnows and adheres to all company policies and proceduresOther duties as assignedThis list is non-exhaustive.

Job responsibilities may vary based on operational needs and the instructions of the employee's supervisor.Knowledge, skills, and abilities:Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, digital platforms, and systems, skilled at handling multiple documents and files with accuracy, ability to be highly organized; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, including the ability to speak publicly, ability to read and comprehend information from written materials, and ability to follow verbal and written instructions; ability to solve problems and make independent decisions with guidance; ability to work independently and in a team environment in a fast-paced and dynamic setting, and ability to learn new skills; ability to travel to and from the primary workplace daily and to occasional off-site locations such as job sites; ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods, and ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in construction management or similar field of study or two to four years of experience in the construction industry, or have completed an internship at the company requiredMust successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
