Project EngineerWe are representing a growing mechanical and industrial construction firm seeking a Project Engineer to join their team. This position supports project operations from estimating through execution. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of experience in heavy civil, mechanical, or industrial projects and possess strong technical, scheduling, and communication skills.
The role includes direct collaboration with field teams, vendors, and senior leadership, and offers a clear development track toward future project management roles.Key Responsibilities:Assist with project estimating, setup, procurement, accounting, forecasting, and change managementInterpret construction drawings and understand project scope and specificationsSupport field labor teams to ensure safety, scheduling, and quality controlMaintain communication with subcontractors, vendors, and internal departmentsDevelop and update schedules using project management softwareTrack production, cost, and project documentationAssist with customer relations and develop subcontractor partnershipsProvide mentorship and support to junior team membersQualifications:2+ years of experience in industrial, mechanical, or heavy civil constructionBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Procore, Viewpoint, and estimating software preferredKnowledge of MCAA labor units, cost tracking, and construction best practicesStrong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skillsMust have a valid driver's license and the ability to travel as neededCompensation + Benefits:Discretionary merit bonusesMedical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and dependents401(k) with company matchPaid time off (PTO), paid holidays, and floating holidayCareer development program and advancement roadmapEmployee assistance programLong-term disability coverage
