Ferroglobe is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team in Bridgeport, Alabama . We are open to candidates with a background as an Electrical Project Engineer or an Electrical/Mechanical Engineer . This role is a replacement position and requires a motivated individual to drive key site projects.
The Project Engineer will be instrumental in supporting plant operations and executing capital projects. While this role is a leader , it is not a management position with direct reports.
Key activities
* Perform tasks such as searching for parts and part numbers.
* Work with procurement on activities like getting quotes and working with vendors for ongoing projects.
* Collaborate with other engineers within the company to obtain necessary information.
* Lead and contribute to significant business initiatives and projects such as:
* Baghouse and Dust mitigation maintenance and projects
* Crushers & Sizing maintenance and projects
* Automation projects and MCC replacements
Required skills
* CAD experience
* Proven Project Management abilities
* Strong Electrical Knowledge, specifically in Motor Controls and PLC
* Solid Mechanical Knowledge, including experience with Pneumatics and Hydraulics
Education & Experience
* Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree is required; however, candidates with strong, relevant experience would be acceptable.
Expected Profile & Training
* Leadership: The successful candidate will be a leader within the role.
* Training: Training will primarily be provided by Cody (Hiring Manager) and Russ Lang for specific needs.
* Interview Focus: Candidates should be prepared to discuss their project experience, including:
* The size of projects managed and their specific involvement.
* Examples of how they managed tight timelines.
* Their proficiency in problem-solving/troubleshooting both electrical and mechanical issues.
