Project EngineerThe Project Engineer will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Project Managers (PMs) and other key people within the organization with day-to-day tasks such as bidding, scheduling, contracts, billing and collection, etc.Responsibilities:Assists the PMs with all duties, including but not limited to: safety, software and applications (HCSS, financials, scheduling, etc.), take-offs, bidding, building (grading, paving, milling, subcontractors), scheduling, equipment use, contracts and negotiation, billing and collection, specifications, beginning knowledge of mix designs, plants, and aggregate sites (manufacturing), general business operations (understands details of company operations)In conjunction with the other Project Engineers and PMs, ensures the daily, weekly, and monthly tasks are addressed in a timely fashionSpends time with Operations, PMs, Scheduling and some exposure to Manufacturing and Technical ServicesAttends project meetings (pre-construction, pre-pave, scheduling, etc.)Performs other related duties as required and assignedQualifications:Bachelor's degree, vocational training, certification from an accredited organization or combination of schooling and relevant work experienceExcellent verbal and written communication, consulting, conflict management, and interpersonal and negotiation skillsValid driver's license and satisfactory driving recordPreferred Skills:Prior transportation industry and logistics experienceRelevant industry experiences a plusExcellent client management and business literacy skillsDevelop strong trusting relationships to gain support and achieve resultsManage multiple conflicting prioritiesBe self-directed and motivatedTakes initiative to identify and anticipate organizational needs and make recommendations for implementationAdditional Notes:This position will be required to travel.
