Project EngineerAs a Project Engineer at Ovivo Ultra Pure Water by Ecolab, you will support the successful delivery and long-term performance of ultrapure water (UPW), reclaim, and wastewater systems at a customer site in Boise, Idaho. In this role, you will serve as the on-site technical interface between project teams, construction partners, vendors, and the customer to ensure effective system installation, startup, and commissioning. Following project completion, you will transition into a customer support role focused on troubleshooting, optimization, and continuous improvement while collaborating with a centralized engineering team.What You Will DoSupport installation, startup, and commissioning of UPW, reclaim, and wastewater systemsProvide on-site engineering support to construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure alignment with design intentTroubleshoot process, mechanical, and system integration issues during commissioning and early operationsRespond to RFIs and field technical questions, coordinating with engineering teams as neededReview field changes, redlines, and as-built conditions to ensure consistency with design documentsServe as the primary local technical interface with the customer during project execution and post-project supportDeliver after-sales support including troubleshooting, performance optimization, and minor system modificationsCoordinate with internal teams to execute system improvements, upgrades, and expansion effortsSupport preparation and review of engineering deliverables such as equipment specifications, P&IDs, layouts, and vendor submittalsProvide field feedback to enhance constructability and standardization of designsMaintain accurate project documentation and support knowledge transfer to engineering standardsApply established engineering standards, procedures, and safety practices in all workPosition DetailsLocation: Boise, IdahoPrimary work site: Customer site with office support from the Boise Support CenterTravel: Periodic travel to Plano, Texas or other project sites for several weeks at a timeMinimum QualificationsB.S.
degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent experience3–8+ years of experience in project engineering, construction support, or commissioning of industrial water systemsExperience in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing environmentsExperience with AutoCAD Plant3D or similar toolsWorking knowledge of UPW, reclaim, or industrial wastewater treatment systemsFamiliarity with process equipment including pumps, pressure vessels, valves, and piping systemsAbility to interpret P&IDs, layouts, and technical specificationsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a field environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsNo Immigration Sponsorship provided for this roleAnnual or Hourly Compensation Range:The pay range for this role is $75,000-105,000.
