We are partnering with a global energy storage organization on a major utility-scale energy storage project and are looking to identify an experienced Project Director to lead the project through its next phase.
This is a senior leadership opportunity responsible for the commercial, operational, financial, and project delivery performance of a major Energy Storage System (ESS) project.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead overall project execution, strategy, and operational performance
Develop and manage project plans covering resources, quality, communications, risk, and commercial strategy
Oversee project budget, forecasting, financial performance, and cash flow
Lead and develop a multidisciplinary project team
Manage relationships with customers, partners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Coordinate closely with Engineering, Finance, Contract Management, Sourcing, Quality, and Operations teams
Establish project priorities and drive performance against key KPIs
Lead monthly project reviews and provide accurate financial and operational reporting
Drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and project best practices
Support customer relationships and commercial/claims strategy
Ensure strong compliance, quality, and EHS performance across the project
Ideal Background:
15+ years of experience in project, program, business, or financial management
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Electrotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline
Strong leadership experience managing large, multidisciplinary teams
Experience with EPC contracts and renewable energy projects
Background in utility-scale BESS / energy storage projects highly desirable
MBA or additional commercial/business qualifications would be advantageous
