Project DirectorOur client, a leading global construction management firm, is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead a large-scale, ground-up data center project in Virginia. This is a senior leadership role responsible for full lifecycle delivery of a complex, mission-critical facility from early-stage planning through commissioning and final turnover.The successful candidate will bring deep experience in managing large commercial or mission-critical construction projects, with a strong emphasis on data centers, MEP coordination, and field execution leadership. This role requires both strategic oversight and direct involvement in day-to-day construction operations.Key Responsibilities:Lead end-to-end execution of a large-scale data center project from preconstruction through completion and commissioningDirect on-site construction activities in partnership with field leadership and general superintendentServe as primary liaison between executive leadership, client representatives, design consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholdersDevelop and execute overall project strategy, ensuring alignment with schedule, budget, safety, and quality requirementsOversee financial performance including forecasting, cost control, and change order managementCoordinate across all major disciplines including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning teamsLead project team structure, including recruitment, onboarding, and management of key personnelChampion and enforce a zero-incident safety culture across all site operationsManage relationships with local authorities, inspectors, and permitting agenciesResolve complex construction and coordination challenges in real timeEnsure delivery of all contractual milestones and project objectivesKey Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience12+ years of construction management experience with senior leadership responsibilityProven track record delivering ground-up data centers or other mission-critical projectsExperience with large general contractors or construction management firmsPrior experience in roles such as Project Director, Project Executive, or Senior Project ManagerStrong technical understanding of MEP systems and complex building infrastructureDemonstrated experience managing large budgets, forecasting, and change order processesStrong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and project management toolsAbility to operate effectively in a fast-paced, site-based environment with multiple prioritiesFully site-based role requiring active field leadership presenceWhy Apply?Opportunity to lead a major, high-profile data center project from the ground upWork alongside senior industry leaders on a technically complex mission-critical buildHigh-impact leadership role with full project lifecycle ownershipCompetitive compensation with strong long-term career progression potentialOpportunity to shape a landmark infrastructure project in a rapidly expanding sector
