Project Director

For our client, we are seeking a Project Director to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space.

This role will guide major transportation project efforts, with a strong emphasis on client leadership, financial stewardship, and delivery excellence. You will serve as a key partner to internal leaders and external stakeholders to keep complex projects aligned with scope, schedule, and budget. The position also includes leading pursuit strategies for larger opportunities while mentoring project teams and supporting broader business objectives.

Location: Arlington, VA

Compensation: $238,839 - $381,522 annually

Responsibilities

• Develop and nurture key client relationships, serving as the primary contact
• Manage financial performance, proactively overseeing cash, budget, schedule, and project scope
• Set priorities and engage resources through collaboration with various leaders
• Collaborate with leadership to address challenges and meet business objectives
• Supervise and mentor project teams, overseeing project staffing and development
• Lead pursuits for mega and super mega projects and develop strategies for additional business opportunities
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• 12 years of relevant experience, including 4 years managing mega and super mega projects
• Project leadership experience for complex transportation projects
• Preferred Master's degree
• Preferably possess Professional Engineer (PE) or American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certifications
