CONFIDENTIAL SEARCH Project Manager Position Title: Project Manager Hire Type: Full-Time, Permanent Hire Stoneway Talent is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a national general contractor with divisions spanning heavy civil construction, building construction, and emergency response. Our client is seeking a Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and oversee projects from initiation through completion, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements. This position serves as the primary point of contact between clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams, and is accountable for clear communication and successful execution on every assigned project. This is a hands-on role for a project manager who drives project performance, maintains quality standards, and wants to contribute directly to the company's strategic objectives.

PROJECT PLANNING & EXECUTION Manage all phases of assigned projects, from pre-construction through closeout. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans. Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to address schedule or cost variances. Review contract documents, specifications, drawings, and scope requirements. Oversee procurement activities, including material and equipment purchases. Maintain accurate project records and ensure timely project closeout documentation. COST & COMMERCIAL MANAGEMENT Prepare and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, and financial reporting. Negotiate and administer subcontractor and vendor agreements. Manage change orders, requests for information (RFIs), and project documentation. Support project billing, collections, and overall financial performance. CLIENT & STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure project success. Conduct regular project meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders and executive leadership. Foster strong client relationships and identify opportunities for additional work and business development. SAFETY, QUALITY & RISK Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Track project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impacts. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred; Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center construction. Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and project controls. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documents. Experience managing project budgets, cost forecasting, procurement, and financial reporting. Knowledge of subcontract administration, contract negotiations, and change order management. Familiarity with mission-critical systems, commissioning processes, and complex construction projects is preferred. Working knowledge of scheduling software (Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project) and construction management platforms such as Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar. Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
